Windows 8 installation in 10 easy steps

Pr-requisite
  • Make sure you have a HOTMAIL, LIVE id for yourself, before your en devour
  • Flash drive that has sufficient storage. At least 4GB

Tools used for installation
  1. I used Windows 7 USB/DVD Download tool.
  2. Download iso image of the installer from location http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-8/iso
  3. Pick up flash drive that has at least 4GB space, format it in FAT32 mode
  4. Start "Windows 7 USB/DVD Download" application.
  5. In the application, pass on the ISO file location
  6. USB Drive information
  7. You are all set to install Windows 8 CP
  8. Now restart your PC, and make sure you boot from USB drive
  9. It takes a while to move from the initial splash screen, so don't panic or remove the USB drive
  10. As you move along, you will be prompted for product key, provide the following DNJXJ-7XBW8-2378T-X22TX-BKG7J and that's it
Entire installation process should not take more than 45 minutes to one hour, at most. Now get involved and enjoy the experience
